So until I started going to PHC, I had pretty much never been to a coffee shop. This year, especially, my friends have decided to remedy that. A couple weeks ago, Sara, Rebekah, and I went to an awesome place just across the Maryland border, a coffee shop in a building that used to be a church. It's called Beans in the Belfry, and it's so cool =) Everything is so unique and eclectic, but really pretty overall...and the fact that it used to be a church is just awesome. There's a bell tower and everything...
Sara wrote an article on coffee shops in the area, and I was her photographer for this particular one...I like it when she has assignments like this =)
There are all kinds of different tables, chairs, and even pews there...
We get some studying done, in the middle of the people-watching and examinations of all the cool little things in the shop...really, we do!
The stained glass windows are still intact...
Okay, this is one of my favorite parts: they have this big wall of cubbies, and regular customers get one with their name on it, to store things or for others to leave them letters...so cool!
So if you get the chance to go to Brunswick (I think that's the name of the town), you should definitely stop in. It's a really neat little place. And they have good food =)
In other news, my life was taken over by homecoming and midterms and sickness. Those are my excuses for the blog drought. I have tons of pictures to put up, but I have no idea when I'll be able to do it...after all, I have a new Glee episode to watch tomorrow. Which is obviously more important....
Also, Crime and Punishment is an amazing book. We're reading it for Western Lit, and I finished it tonight...such a powerful ending. I want to write like that.
